That’s true. I struggled at first feeling like o was just talking to myself unless I visualized something/someone for me talk to. Some of the guides really put emphasis on visualization in the early stages.
What happened when i was visualizing my tulpa is that he changed his face a bit and changed some other things
I think as long as you allow your tulpa to do that, it'll be fine. You can also say "hey, if you want to shapeshift, you can" and then let them decide

i think guides kinda set expectations and limitations if you take them too seriously
I followed the wikihow guide and surprisingly it went really well. I got full vocality in less than 2 days and managed to switch as soon as i tried (with some instruction thanks to some people here)
Only thing i havent learned from that guide is imposition which i am working on
the only thing i would care about is talk to the tulpa and figure things out as you go

Oh wow! Things happened very fast for you all it seemed. That’s so interesting.
Can I ask what the processes were like while you were making them? Were you spending dedicated time talking to them with nothing else going on or was it more of a passive narration while doing other things?
i just talked to mine one evening, the second day i talked to her in the evening too, and third day when i woke up she was there with me in my head and we talked some more
4:33 PM
thats about it really

im currently trying to improve my near non existential visualization and im having decent progress with it, i just put my makeshift blindfold on and sit there looking like a dumbass for 30min at a time

I usually like to set aside some time to actively narrate with him but i've been neglecting that a bit
Otherwise, i do passive narration throughout the days and just let him jump in whenever

i had none at all either, i just look past my eyelids with my eyes straightened, clear my mind and whenever something shows up i try to focus on them but not too hard

i've been doing it a bit before tulpa stuff though
Desting 😎 (Con Cat)-(おひたし、お浸し)
Looking at white noise you will get immediate results (hard to extrapolate to no noise though)
Oh cool
I've been going for walks imagining him walking behind me and that worked at first, and i was able to sense him after the walks, but recently i've been more scattered and i find it harder to focus

Luminesce: Imposition is pretty nice for us. We just learned to do it by focusing really hard on seeing each other in the real world, first just in our room and later by walking around together and such.(edited)

A trick that helps us a lot is walking around your tulpa while trying to impose them, for some reason the idea of the angle I'm seeing them from rotating suddenly makes them much clearer to see.
immersive visualization is what im aiming for, remains to be seen how long it takes to get there

I’m pretty sure peoples ability to visualize things is a spectrum (like everything in life lol) with aphantasia on one end and extremely vivid visual ability on the other. Im sure it’s a bell curve with most people somewhere in the middle
Im like
Almost able to visualize perfectly
I mean i can but i get distracted and things start to drift (adhd moment)
But when i meditate i can visualize perfectly
Dyslexia runs in my family
I'm very good at reading so i figured i dont have it but i do mix up letters a lot and it takes a lot of concentration for me to not
I had a film professor who had aphantasia. Made it hard for her to study film because she couldn’t recall images in her mind. So she had students do projects where they took scenes from movies and created smells for each of them instead of visuals
as imthis is vox i don’t trust it completely, might be something to it though

I can imagine all my senses perfectly too
I wonder if it has something to do with having schizophrenia though because according to some schizophrenia symptoms can be associated with a clinically overactive imagination
